AU Information
AU Name: He started as Anakin Skywalker, and changed his name to Vader not long after becoming a youngblood.
AU Age: Turned at 28; it’s been 18 years since then..
Physical Differences: “Anakin” was as he was in canon, while “Vader” is a bit different. He wears dark robes to hide the (not nearly as advanced) prosthetics he requires for his legs and left arm. His mask is similar to canon, though not needed for his survival, and the bottom part of it can be removed so he could easily bite someone. Underneath the mask, Anakin’s face boasts a few scars, and one massive gash in his scalp. He still has most of his hair, though the area around the gash and his other scars is devoid of it. Since he’s of the Black Court, he’ll have black eyes instead of blue, and his blood will also be black.
AU History: [[CW: child slavery, murder, maiming]]
Anakin was born into slavery in Gold Court lands, with his mother being owned by a particularly cruel vampire master. He never knew who his father was, and his mother never said, instead raising Anakin the best she could with all the love and affection she could give him. He became very attached to her as a result, and as she grew older, he did everything he could to make sure it wasn’t noticed that she was having trouble doing the work she used to be able to do. Unfortunately his efforts were in vain, and when their master realized she was becoming too old and sick to pull her weight, he carelessly killed her. Anakin flew into a rage, grabbing a decorative sword and catching his master by surprise, he hacked away at his neck until his head was finally sent rolling.
He fled from the house with his mother’s body, traveling to Red Court lands where he buried her body safely on top of a hill overlooking a river. When he was done mourning, he went on to a nearby town, doing odd jobs until he was eventually old enough to join the town guard, where he served as a keeper of the peace. It was honest work, and while helping others helped him somewhat, he could never truly heal from the trauma that was his upbringing.
And then he met the woman that would become his wife. Anakin was immediately head over heels in love with her, and became attached to her quickly. Fortunately the feeling was mutual, and it wasn’t long before they were married, and soon after, she became pregnant with their child. While Anakin was overjoyed, there was a fear in the back of his mind: as humans, his budding family was vulnerable. They could be killed like his mother was, and he would be just as powerless to stop it as he was back then. But if they all became vampires… if they could be among the elite together, then he wouldn’t have to worry about losing everything ever again.
His mind set, Anakin sought out the attention of the vampire Courts, finally gaining the attention of the man that would become his Maker. He was quickly brought to Castle Courtsheart, and he trained with other vampire hopefuls, only telling a close friend he made over time of his plan to make his wife (and later his child) a vampire as soon as he was able. While he did well in most courses, it was the courses for the Black Court that he shined most in, proving himself a skilled hunter most of all.
Not long after Anakin graduated, he snuck out of the castle and went home, where he anticipated to see his wife and their young child. Instead, he found the house empty, the only occupant being his friend with whom he had shared his secret plan with. The two of them fought, first verbally, with his friend trying desperately to tell Anakin that he couldn’t just turn someone into a vampire, not without them going through the schooling they went through. Anakin wasn’t having it though, and lashed out with his Dread Blade. His friend soon proved to be the better blade master, however, dealing a painful blow to his head before severing both legs and his left arm, and leaving him to die in the house.
Enraged and shamed, Anakin dragged himself back to Castle Courtsheart, his rage fueling him enough to make it all the way there, where he was eventually spotted and helped by members of the Silver Court. Through their help, he was able to survive and even regain his mobility for the most part, but the experience left him cold and bitter; worst of all was the guilt he felt, knowing that he had lost his wife and child, assuming that they were both dead. He “killed” himself as Anakin Skywalker; hid his marred face behind a mask, cloaked himself all in black and took on the name of Vader. In the 18 years since, he has devoted himself to the Black Court, serving to teach the next generation of vampires and gaining a reputation for being brutally strict, where students were just as likely to die from the class material as they were for displeasing the teacher.
He doesn’t know the true fate of his wife and child, and by now, any hope he had of seeing them is long gone…
AU Personality: His personality isn’t going to change much at all; Vader is still cold, cruel, and unforgiving to his enemies. He has a reputation for being an unstoppable force of destruction and death, and that doesn’t change here. Vader’s disabilities don’t bring him down, but they are a source of pain for him, and he uses that pain to fuel his seemingly bottomless anger. Most importantly, no one hates Vader more than he hates himself, and it leads to him being self-destructive, throwing himself into situations where a normal person would likely die just because he has such a disregard for his own life.
He does have his own share of quirks, however. He has a tendency to be overdramatic, and absolutely will stand at the highest point of Castle Courtsheart on a still night, making his cloak look like it’s blowing in a wind that isn’t there. There’s an arrogance to him from his time as Anakin that never really went away, believing himself more powerful than anyone else. He has a respect for those that are ruthless and cunning, and will often favor students that display such qualities. Those of Silver Court have his respect as well, as they saved him when he was grievously injured and continue to aid him to this day.

Course Information
Court: Black Court is ideal for Vader. In canon, he’s a ruthless and brutal hunter of Jedi and of Rebellion agents, and that carries over in here. Pity those that Vader considers an enemy, for they don’t have long to live once he’s let loose on them.
Subjects of Interest: Hunting is Vader’s area of expertise, though he can easily teach all classes.
Maker/Blood Claim: Anakin’s Maker was a man that went by the name of Sidious, who encouraged his darker nature as he was learning. He found a particular delight in Anakin’s transformation into Vader, privately taking credit for the monster that was created. Sidious is elsewhere at the moment; likely on council business (the man does so love democracy, after all).
Vader will be open to Making others, but they have to prove themselves worthy of the effort.
